The Duffryn District Heat Network Replacement Project is moving into the final phase, and we’ll be switching your heating and hot water supply from the old network to the new network.
From 17 April 2024 - 8 May 2024, there will be a series of temporary heating and hot water outages we connect your homes to the new network. Please make sure to check when you're going to be impacted so that you can plan ahead.
This month, we speak to Dave Hutchinson (Operations Director for Vital Energi) speak more about the temporary outages, and what happens during a switch over. We also spoke to Douglas Hammond (Project Co-Ordinator for Suez Group) to explain the ice pigging process, and how we’re preparing the new pipework for use.
