The Newport City Homes customer app gives all of our social renting customers the ability to access many of our services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – at a time and place that suits.

If you need to pay your rent or bills whilst you wait for your code, you can do this via a number of methods.

About the app

By downloading the Newport City Homes customer app, you can:

  • Book, track, and reschedule routine repairs through a live booking system which updates with the latest appointments available
  • Make a payment and view charges and payments you’ve made
  • Report any anti-social behaviour in your neighbourhood
  • Message us direct and receive group messages for important updates
  • Sign-up to community events
  • View important documents


How to access the app

The app is available to download from both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. You can also access it via a web browser.

You will then need an activation code to get started.

Contact us for your activation code, via any method that works for you:

The code will be emailed to you within 24 hours.

Please note, you will need to activate the app within two weeks of receiving the code, otherwise it will expire. If you need a new code, please contact us to request a new one.

Why have you developed a new App?

You told us that you’d like easier ways to get in touch with us to do things like pay your rent or report a repair. With this in mind, we’ve introduced a brand new user-friendly customer App. The App has been specifically developed for housing associations and is designed to meet the needs of our customers.

Why should I sign up for the NCH App?

The NCH App gives you easy access to:

  • Raise and track routine repairs
  • Make a payment, view your charges, and any payments you’ve made on your rent account
  • Report anti-social behaviour
  • Message us directly and receive group messages
  • Sign-up to events in your community
  • View important documents
  • Take part in polls and surveys (feature coming soon)

How will it save me time?

Once the NCH App is downloaded onto your smartphone or tablet, you can access services at the touch of a button, anywhere and anytime. This means that you can access the services 24/7, even when the customer service centre is closed.

Do I have to pay to download the NCH App?

No. The App is completely free to use.

I don’t have access to a Smartphone, can I still get the NCH App?

Yes - you can now login to the app via our website. This replaces the old customer portal system. You will still need to contact us to register for an account.

If you use the mobile app, you can also login via our website using the same login details - making it easy to access services whatever device you're using.

We encourage all customers to use the NCH App as the easiest way to contact us. However, we completely understand that not everyone has access to the internet, a smartphone or compatible device.

What happens if my App isn’t working?

There may be times when the NCH App will be unavailable for technical maintenance or updates. When this happens, we will try to give you as much notice as possible, using the NCH App messaging service.

Why can’t I find my repair on the App?

Some minor repairs are the responsibility of our customers to carry out, to maintain their homes in a good condition, and these repairs are not included in the App. For example, changing a broken toilet seat.
