The cost of living crisis has been affecting us all, so it’s more important than ever that we give you good value for money.

In our customer surveys last year, we spoke to more than 1,000 current and potential customers to find out how you feel about the cost of living, and the affordability of your rent and service charges.

When we ask customers what’s affordable, we want to talk about the whole cost of living in your home. So not just your rent and service charges, but your energy bills and the weekly food shop too.

Of those who responded:

  • 59% said their rent was affordable
  • 42% were worried about paying their rent
  • 53% said they had skipped a meal because they couldn’t afford food

We also asked these customers how we could improve, and they told us:

  • We need to be more visible in the community
  • We need to work better with partners to be more efficient
  • We need to invest in energy efficiency solutions for your homes, to help reduce the cost of utility bills

What we’re doing

We helped our customers get access to over £1million in additional income last year, working closely in partnership with other agencies.

We are here to help if you’re struggling. If you’re worried about paying your rent we can find a solution that works for you.

There are lots of other ways we can help you save money too. If your home has more bedrooms than you need, we can support you to move to a home that better meets your needs and is more affordable. Get in touch to find out more about this.
