In 2022, we launched our strategic commitment to Environmental Sustainability.
It sets out the actions we’ll take to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. It’s ambitious, but we’re focused on doing everything we can to get there sooner, in a way that benefits our customers, colleagues and communities now and in the future. 🌍
We know that we can only get where we need to be by working together. There’s a lot that we need to do, and we can’t do it all straight away – but in our first year, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made.
Our activity is focused on delivering against four key areas:
- Homes fit for the future
- Supporting customers to live sustainably
- Sustainable places to live
- An environmentally responsible association
Our annual update shows the progress we’re making and sets out our next steps. We provide this information as assurance to our board that we’re working to deliver against our commitments – holding ourselves to account on our promises.
