We need to carry out a gas safety inspection in your home every year, to check that your gas appliances are safe and running efficiently.

Boiler inspection

For your safety, it’s really important that you let us into your home for electrical installation and gas safety inspections.

This is also a condition of your contract with us as part of our commitment to keep you safe in your home. If you don't allow us access, we may consider legal involvement after two failed inspection attempts.

What happens during my gas safety inspection?

During your gas safety inspection, we only carry out a visual inspection of a gas cooker owned by you. It is your responsibility to make sure any gas appliances are working and maintained safely by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

To find a Gas Safe registered engineer, visit the Gas Safe website.

What should I do if I smell gas?

If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Helpline on 0800 111 999. Open windows and doors and leave the property.
