Last night’s AGM (15 Sept 2021) saw us wave goodbye to Janice Morgan, one of our dedicated board members who has been with us since 2017.
She has been a fantastic champion for our customers and helped us improve and develop our services.
Nicola Somerville, chair of our board, thanked Janice at her final board meeting in July and said she would be “sorely missed”. Nicola paid tribute to her time, energy, commitment, enthusiasm and unwavering support that Janice had given NCH and its customers, including being a strong advocate for local communities during board discussions.
She said: “Janice has held responsible positions on the board and its committees, and has given her time, commitment and knowledge to the association, I would like to thank Janice for her valuable service and wish her luck in the future.”
Janice was born, and has lived in Newport for many years, and is kept busy with her grand and great grandchildren.
Before joining us she worked for a private housing developer. She set up the first Women’s Aid Group in Newport and was Chair and treasurer of the Caerphilly and Newport MS Society.
