REMINDER FOR RESIDENTS: PRODUCT RECALL FOR WHIRLPOOL TUMBLE DRYERS AND WASHING MACHINES, INCLUDING HOTPOINT, INDESIT, CREDA, SWAN AND PROLINE BRANDS.
Whirlpool is recalling some tumble dryers and washing machines sold under its Hotpoint, Indesit, Creda, Swan and Proline brands.
If you are concerned your tumble dryer or washing machine may be affected, you can check on the Whirlpool website or call Whirlpool directly.
If your product is affected, you will have the option to:
- Have it replaced free of charge
- Opt for an upgrade
- Have it fixed by an engineer
- Choose a refund (depending on the age of the product).
Why it’s important
The Government has estimated that the fault affecting tumble dryers has caused up to 750 fires in the last 11 years, so it’s essential you check if you own an affected product.
It is your responsibility to ensure your white goods are safe to operate.
