Sonia Furzland, our new Executive Director of Operations joined us last month and is responsible for our maintenance and housing services teams.
Later this month, Sonia will be taking questions from our customers in a Q&A session on our residents only NCH Connected group.
More about Sonia
Sonia has worked in housing for over 30 years and has a special interest in customer service and engagement. She spent 12 years working for Knightstone Housing and finished her time there as Executive Director of Landlord Services.
For the last three years, Sonia has run her own successful housing consultancy and has worked with Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, leading consultation with tenants and leaseholders on long term management of their homes, delivering service improvements and recruiting senior roles to the new housing management service.
Most recently, Sonia has spent last 18 months in Wales working with Pobl as Director of Housing Operations. Sonia is also a board member of Elim Housing Group.
Sonia’s lifelong passion for housing was sparked by her own experience of homelessness when she was younger. She grew up in a home rented from a local housing association, but at 16 was homeless with a very uncertain future. Her first paid role in housing was working for a homelessness charity in Bristol, and since then her values have changed very little.

It's a privilege to be part of delivering homes that offer safety and security, that provides the platform for people to live their best lives."
