As Newport now has the fourth highest rate of Coronavirus cases in Wales, immediate action is needed to prevent further spread of the virus. It’s important we all take responsibility for our actions to slow the spread of infection. You can do this by following social distancing guidelines, washing your hands frequently and isolating your household if someone begins to experience symptoms.
If the virus continues to spread, a local lockdown may be enforced.
You should be especially aware of developing symptoms if you have visited the following places on the following dates:
- Breeze on Cambrian Road on 4th and 5th September
- The Potters on Upper Dock Street on 5th September
- Break ‘n’ Dish on Stow Hill between 1st and 8th September
- Tiny Rebel Rogerstone on Wern Industrial Estate on 6th, 7th and 8th September
- Ye Olde Bull Inn on High Street, Caerleon on 4th September
- The Handpost on the junction of Risca Road/Bassaleg Road on 8th September
- Three Horseshoes on Pillmawr Road on 6th September
If you are experiencing symptoms
If you are experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus, you should self-isolate and apply for a Coronavirus test, either by calling 119 or through the Welsh Government web page. If you or a member of your household is tested for Coronavirus the whole household must self-isolate until you receive your test results.
