From April 2022, Newport City Homes will no longer be billing and collecting water and sewerage charges for customers on behalf of Welsh Water.
What does this mean for me?
From April 2022, you will pay your water bill directly to Welsh Water. Welsh Water will send you a letter in the next few weeks, with more information. Your last payment to Newport City Homes will be at the end of March 2022.
I pay by Direct Debit, do I need to do anything?
Yes, but not yet. Once you have made your last monthly payment in March 2022, you will need to cancel your existing direct debit payment to Newport City Homes. Welsh Water will write to you and advise you how to set up a new Direct Debit.
What happens to my water account balance?
Your account will close with Newport City Homes at the end of March and the final balance will be transferred to Welsh Water. Until the end of March, please continue to make any payments to Newport City Homes.
