We have received reports of bogus callers in Duffryn pretending to be from Newport City Homes.
The callers state that they are working for NCH, and ask to come in and check fire alarms and electric.
If you answer your door to anyone calling from Newport City Homes, you should:
- Ask to see their ID card
All NCH colleagues, including contractors, will be carrying an identification card and will be happy to show it if you ask. - Check their ID card
It should have their name and photo on it – and the photo on the card should be the same as the person standing at your door. - Contact us if you are in any doubt
If you’re not sure, give us a call on 01633 381111 and we’ll be able to let you know if the caller is genuine.
Remember - if you’re in any doubt if a caller is genuine, do not let them in.
