Duffryn’s district heat network replacement programme is the first public sector project for Michael. As customer and community involvement are integral to Newport City Homes, he’s passionate about working with the people of Duffryn throughout this project.

Michael said:

“It’s a privilege to be working on a project that makes such a difference to the lives of people in the community. What we do and how we do it matters to everyone. We’re committed to keeping residents safe and disruption to a minimum. The people of Duffryn are an important community within Newport, and I feel this in the conversations I’ve had with many of them. Duffryn is a lovely area, and I’m grateful for the community that have been welcoming and understanding of the work we’re doing to upgrade the heating network. It’s delightful that the project can contribute to supporting community groups and initiatives, too.”

“Although I’ve worked in the customer service sector for several years, this is my first community-based role - and I’m glad it’s the community I grew up in! Working on a project of this magnitude poses several challenges, but we have a strong team to overcome these. Together, we’re working hard to give the best service and limit disruption to residents. I’m here for our customers, to listen to their concerns and answer any questions they have.”
