We want everyone to live and thrive where they live. Our Neighbourhood Managers specialise in antisocial behaviour, supporting all customers with any complaints that they have.
We don't work in isolation. We work in partnership with many organisations and services. It's a team effort to bring justice to communities and make sure they're safe places to live.
Who we work with
We work with Gwent Police, Newport mediation service, and Mental Health services like Mind Cymru and Goldtops. We also work alongside Gwent Drug and Alcohol service and the Prison and Probation Service. Our partnership with Newport City Council involves the antisocial behaviour teams, environmental health, and social services. We also partner with domestic abuse agencies like Women’s Aid.
This list is just the start! We’ll contact services across the city on a case-by-case basis, depending on what intervention and prevention is needed. Working together allows us to combine specialist knowledge to keep our communities safe places to live.
"Partnership working is important in what we do and what we want to achieve. From a police perspective, the close partnership I have with Newport City Homes goes to show that building those close relationships will achieve great results. This has become an integral way of working. We support each other and strive to make our communities safer together. We identify, we action, we problem solve. And we do this by working together."

We also work with you - our customers and communities. Without your help, many of the ASB cases we deal with wouldn't have the desired outcomes. If you see something in your community that you're not happy with, please contact us.
What we've done
Over the last 12 months, we have supported with 10 evictions and applied 16 injunctions for breach of contract. We've also supported with 6 injunction breaches, which have led to arrest and police involvement.
"Newport City Council’s Community Safety/Public Protection Team's focus is to ‘Enhance the Lives of our communities across Newport’. To achieve this, we work with agencies to deliver sustainable approaches. One of our key partners is Newport City Homes who work with our teams to develop these approaches. Because of this relationship, we're able to respond to the community challenges that we're presented with."
