We have an ambitious multi-million pound Ringland regeneration scheme.

Planning permission has been approved for the first phase of the project, with work due to begin this summer. 

This will help us achieve our core purpose of creating homes in communities in which people want to live.

The first phase of the project will focus on the redevelopment of Cot Farm. It will bring 56 new homes to the area, as follows: 

  • 11 one-bedroom apartments
  • 19 two-bedroom apartments
  • 18 two-bedroom houses
  • 8 three-bedroom houses

We developed the plans in response to a review of local housing need and demand. During the design process, we consulted thoroughly with the community and, where possible, we have included people's feedback within the scheme proposals.

We have appointed Powell Dobson Architects to create the wider masterplan for Ringland. One of the main changes will be the demolition of the existing shopping centre. We will replace it with a more prominent and accessible centre.

The project will: 

  • Create more affordable homes
  • Design out areas that allow anti-social behaviour to thrive; and
  • Improve access to community facilities.

The development of Cot Farm is the beginning of the wider regeneration of the Ringland area. We expect construction works to start summer 2018.
