Managing your money with rising costs can be challenging, and falling into rent arrears can feel overwhelming. That's why we're here to help.

We're here to support you in managing your rent arrears and help you make the most of your money. We know that everyone's circumstances are different. We want to work with you to find solutions that suit your lifestyle.

If you're not in rent arrears, but you're worried that it could happen, talk to us. The sooner you speak to us, the sooner we can find the best solution for you.

How we can help

We'll listen to you, taking the time to understand your personal situation. We'll work with you to find an arrears repayment plan that's affordable for you. If you find that you can't afford repayments, we'll revise the plan again until we find an amount that works to reduce your arrears and keep you safe in your home.

We'll never ask you to pay more than you can afford.

We will also:

  • Help you budget your income and outgoings, which can help with rent and other household bills.
  • Make sure you're receiving all the benefits you're entitled to, and we'll help you apply for them where there's more you can claim.
  • Make sure you're paying your rent in a way that suits your lifestyle, setting up a direct debit which is the easiest way to pay your rent.
  • Help you access any extra support services that can help you and your family. We can also help you access Foodbanks if you're struggling to afford food.

We know that asking for help can be hard, but we're here to help you every step of the way. The earlier we can help you, the more likely you'll be able to stay financially resilient.
